Almost 2000 business owners, residents and visitors have signed a petition calling on Argyll & Bute Council to scrap plans to introduce parking charges on the Isle of Mull.
Opponents say the scheme, which would see charges implemented at various locations, including the Iona ferry car park at Fionnphort, the long stay car park at Craignure and Ledaig car park in Tobermory, is a “cash-building exercise” which would impact on tourism and local businesses.
