Vodka brand crosses to the dark side

BLACK Raspberry has been unveiled as the flavour of the inaugural winter expression of Cîroc vodka.

Diageo Reserve is set to launch limited edition Cîroc Black Raspberry next month.

The seasonal spirit is described as an infusion of five times distilled Cîroc vodka with the “delicate, natural flavours of fresh, crushed black raspberry essence” to create a “distinct smooth finish, embodying the rich tastes of winter”.

The first ever winter edition of the brand, Cîroc Black Raspberry is packaged in a black and gold bottle; its launch will be backed by a number of suggested cocktail serves, including Cîroc Black Raspberry Velvet Crush and Cîroc Black Raspberry Royale (see recipes below).

Rich Larkin, head of Diageo Reserve GB, said: “Cîroc is a brand rooted in style and celebration, and the latest variant really adds vibrancy to cocktails this winter.

“This is the first time we have launched a winter expression for Cîroc, so we’re looking forward to getting it out there for consumers and bartenders to experiment and, of course, celebrate with in the run-up to Christmas and New Year.”

Cîroc Black Raspberry Royale

 

35ml Cîroc Black Raspberry

15ml lemon juice

15ml simple syrup

15ml vermouth

 

Build all ingredients and top up with Champagne/sparkling wine or soda. Garnish with frozen grapes or berries.

 

Cîroc Black Raspberry Velvet Crush

 

35ml Cîroc Black Raspberry

15ml red vermouth

Juice of one lemon wedge

Dry tonic water

 

Garnish with a lemon wheel and a black raspberry on a metal skewer.
