Indian tapas hits Fife town

Leishman starts the party

A FORMER Chinese buffet restaurant in Dunfermline has been reopened as Fife’s first Indian “streatery” and cocktail bar.

Dhoom, a 100-cover venue which specialises in Indian street-food served in a tapas style, was opened last week by the provost of Fife, Jim Leishman.

As part of a soft launch the restaurant is said to have given away hundreds of meals to the town’s residents.

Owner Dhaneswhar Prasad said Dhoom is now part of the town’s “vibrant eating out scene”.
