New operator at helm of old inn

The Tormaukin Inn has 13 en suite letting rooms

A NEW owner has taken the helm at an early 18th century inn near the small town of Dollar in Clackmannanshire.

The Tormaukin Inn, which comprises 13 en suite letting rooms, a restaurant said to focus on locally-sourced meat and seafood, conservatory dining area, bar, beer garden and owner’s accommodation, changed hands in a deal arranged by Cornerstone Business Agents.

Director of Cornerstone, Barry McNeil, said: “We are delighted to officially confirm a formal sale after a very extensive marketing campaign which drew interest from parties both at home and abroad.

“The Tormaukin Inn is a well-regarded country inn specialising in food and beverage sales with public dining areas for in excess of 100.”

The property was available for sale at a guide price of £450,000; the final sale price was not disclosed.
