A young marketing manager at one of Scotland’s craft breweries has become the first face of a new campaign promoting careers in Scottish tourism.
Shannon McFarlane, 25, works at Tempest Brewing Co in the Scottish Borders and is featured in the new Future Focus campaign from VisitScotland. At Tempest her duties include managing photography, social media and the company’s website as well as working on the design of labels.
The digital campaign, created as part of Scotland’s Year of Young People, will showcase a number of young people working in different areas of the tourism and hospitality industries.
Paula Ward, VisitScotland regional leadership director, said: “Scotland is famous for its fantastic food and drink offering and I am delighted to see our young people recognise this sector of our industry as an exciting career opportunity.”
