A RESTAURANT with rooms in the Borders has been recognised for setting a gold standard in hospitality.
Windlestraw, a six-bedroom Edwardian manor overlooking the Tweed Valley in Walkerburn, was awarded VisitScotland’s five star gold Quality Assurance Award.
Owners John and Sylvia Matthews said: “We are thrilled to have received this award. Full credit to our small team – head chef Stu and housekeepers Lizzy and Emily – who continue to raise the bar for hospitality in the region.”
