SCHWEPPES supplier Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has turned to the dark side with the launch of a new mixer designed to be paired with whisky or rum.
Muscovado is the newest addition to Schweppes’ premium 1783 range of mixers and has been designed specifically for pairing with dark spirits.
It is described as having notes of vanilla, caramel and butterscotch.
Muscovado joins the five existing 1783 variants: Crisp Tonic Water, Light Tonic Water, Golder Ginger Ale, Salty Lemon Tonic Water and Quenching Cucumber Tonic Water.
Simon Harrison, customer marketing director, GB, at Coca-Cola European Partners, said the 1783 range “is designed to help licensees and bartenders deliver interesting, great-tasting, mixed drinks and cocktails for consumers to explore”.
The range was introduced in October 2017.
