HIGHLAND hotel The Torridon has reached the top tier of VisitScotland’s Quality Assurance scheme after being awarded a 5 Star Gold award.
The 18-bedroom property, near Achnasheen in Wester Ross, secured the organisation’s highest rating for “meeting and exceeding customer expectations”.
Dan Rose-Bristow, who owns The Torridon with wife Rohaise, said: “We are very happy to have been given the 5 Star Quality Assurance status. The Torridon offers a consistently high level of service, we are continuously refreshing bedrooms and (hotel restaurant) 1887 is renowned for its top-class menus – to receive recognition for this is extremely satisfying.”
Chris Taylor of VisitScotland said: “Dan and Rohaise have shown excellent leadership skills, they are extremely passionate about food, service, provenance and promoting hospitality as an industry of choice, especially for young people.”
