Cooks compete for culinary crown

Buzzworks chefs

CHEFS from Buzzworks Holdings’ venues put themselves to the test as they battled it out to be named the winner of the Buzzworks Cook ‘n’ Crown competition.

Fourteen commis chefs and chef de parties took part in the competition, now in its second year, where they were tasked with creating “an exquisite meal” for judges. The event was held at Ayrshire College.

Commis chef from the Millhouse in Stewarton, Gabriella Crawford (pictured far right), finished on top, with her dish, skate wing with pea and asparagus risotto, winning a £100 Midori knife, a £100 meal voucher and cook book.

Kenny Blair, managing director of Buzzworks, said: “The standard of our chefs is fantastic and we love to challenge them to bring out their best, so congratulations to everyone who took part.”
