DIAGEO Reserve has expanded its Singleton whisky range with the introduction of The Singleton Malt Master’s Selection.
The new expression has been aged in a mixture of refill casks, which the drinks firm said results in a slightly sweeter version of the distillery’s trademark style.
The new launch coincides with a refresh of the core Singleton range, which includes The Singleton of Dufftown 12, 15 and 18 year old expressions. The new bottle is designed to resemble a 19th century hip flask blown from blue glass and features the batch number and master blender’s signature.
“The Singleton Malt Master’s Selection is an exciting new addition to the Singleton range,” said Nick Temperley, head of Diageo Reserve GB.
“Consumers are becoming more knowledgeable, they’re looking for new liquids to try and are genuinely interested in craftsmanship.
“And the trade are itching to experiment with new liquids. The Singleton Malt Master’s Selection with its sweeter notes and delicate flavour will appeal to those new to the category whilst still complementing the collection – sitting well with our existing fans and loyal whisky drinkers.’’
The Singleton of Dufftown Malt Master’s Selection is bottled at 40% ABV and priced at £30 a bottle.
