MATTHEW Clark and Bibendum have moved to reassure customers, suppliers and employees that it is “business as usual” for the firms, which were acquired by C&C Group following the collapse of Conviviality earlier this month.
In a statement, Matthew Clark and Bibendum, which will continue to operate independently with support from C&C Group, said the businesses “want to reiterate their gratitude to their customers, suppliers and employees as they continue to trade and work around the clock to stabilise the business, [and] get service back on track”.
The firms confirmed “all contracts will be upheld and all outstanding supplier payments will be made and scheduled retrospective discount payments will also be honoured”.
James Lousada, commercial director of Matthew Clark and Bibendum, said: “We would like to apologise for the impact on our customers and suppliers over these past weeks and to reassure that we are working closely with partners across all categories to bring stock levels and service back to the excellent standards we hold ourselves to.”
