Whisky tourism is on the up.

TOURIST attractions in Scotland recorded a dramatic rise in footfall last year, in what was the fourth consecutive year of growth.

According to a new report from The Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions, tourist sites on average saw a 9.7% increase on visits in 2017.

Distilleries and whisky-related attractions were said to have enjoyed a successful year too, with double digit growth recorded at several distilleries, while The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh (pictured) was named in the country’s Top 20 attractions.
