THE Scottish Government has published its guidance on disabled access statements ahead of changes to licensing law later this month.
From March 30, applications for premises or provisional premises licences will have to be accompanied by a statement on disabled access and facilities. The guidance, available on the Scottish Government website, advises that each statement “should contain clear information about how accessible the venue is for disabled people”. “It should also describe the facilities and/or any other provision made on (or in connection with) the premises for disabled people.”
