COCA-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has looked back to move forward with its latest TV commercial.

A renewed version of its advert for Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, First Taste, which made its debut in 2006, sees actor Nicolas Coster reprise his role as Mr Hadley.

In the new commercial, Mr Hadley, a retirement home resident, is offered a bottle of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar by staff; upon tasting it for the first time, he wonders what else he hasn’t tried.

What follows is a series of fulfilled life dreams, which includes telling his long lost love Alice he’s always loved her; getting a tattoo; diving into an Olympic-size pool; riding down the highway on a motorcycle; and enjoying the party at a Pride parade – all to a soundtrack of Queen’s I Want To Break Free.

The TV ad, which launched last month, forms part of an integrated campaign, including out of home, digital and PR activity, designed to help licensees boost sales of the zero-calorie Coke variant.
