WORKERS in the Scottish drinks industry were among those honoured at a recent Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) event in London.
Seven individuals from Scotland were presented with the prestigious WSET Diploma at the event, with three graduates from Scotland singled out as “outstanding individuals”.
Fiona MacDonald, a tour guide for Whyte & Mackay, was presented with the Worshipful Company of Distillers’ Prize for outstanding results in her WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits. Norbert Pere, a trainee manager at Majestic, won the Gran Orden Caballeros del Vino Award for outstanding results in his WSET Level 3 Award in Wines; and Miriam Reynolds, founder of training provider The Sipping Point, was presented with the Moet & Chandon Prize for the results of her WSET Diploma Unit 5.
