FIFTY cocktail bars throughout the Scottish capital are set to take part in this year’s Edinburgh Cocktail Week event.
Running from Monday October 15 to Sunday October 21, the event aims to build on the popularity of last year’s inaugural festival and has this year been extended from a weekend to a full week.
The core format, however, will remain the same; attendees buy a wristband and can then enjoy £4 cocktails from any one of the 50 cocktail bars participating in the event. There are three types of wristband: weekday (£6), weekend (£8), and week-long (£13.50).
Organiser Gary Anderson said: “We are delighted to announce the dates for Edinburgh Cocktail Week and share the changes we are making to the event to build and improve upon last year.
“Edinburgh has an amazing and growing cocktail scene, and Edinburgh Cocktail Week will champion that to locals visitors to the city.
“We are working on another couple of new elements for the event this year and look forward to revealing these over the next few months.”
A full list of participating bars will be revealed in the summer and is said to include new and recently opened units.
