TULLIBARDINE Distillery has released a rare single malt whisky into its Custodians Collection.
Rounding out the range, Tullibardine 1962 joins the Tullibardine 1952 and 1970 expressions in the collection.
Matured in American oak casks for 52 years, the vintage release is said to feature “hints of lush green meadow, mingled with citrus fruit”, which leads to “floral parma violets and subtle allspice”.
The expression is the contents of the Perthshire distillery’s last two casks of malt distilled on December 27, 1962. Only 250 bottles are available globally, retailing at £1990.
John Torrance of Tullibardine Distillery said: “This is truly a very special release for the brand and distillery, and one which is precious to us here at Tullibardine.
“The 1962 makes up a trio of limited and sought-after malts, which are amongst the finest in the world.”
