New spirited festival hops into Aberdeen

The event takes place on Saturday

THE team behind the North Hop festivals will stage its first spirits-focused event this weekend.

Spirit of North Hop takes place in Aberdeen’s AECC on Saturday (October 28). Festival-goers will have the chance to sample a raft of different products from Scottish spirits firms, including UWA Tequila, Lost Loch’s Murmichan absinthe and Seawolf white rum.

The exhibition will be laid out to reflect a map of Scotland, which will allow guests to ‘visit’ the distilleries as they would if they were to travel around the country.

Michelle Russell, North Hop co-founder, said the event will offer “something for everyone”.
