ST Andrews craft distiller Eden Mill has launched a new visitor experience giving people the chance to create their own spirit.
Located in what’s described as a specially-designed spirits emporium at the Macdonald Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews, Eden Mill Blendworks will offer visitors a two and a half-hour “multi-sensory journey into the world of blending”.
The Blendworks gin experience will run twice a day, and tickets costing £95 will include a gift pack containing three 20cl bottles of gin, Blendworks glasses and a certificate; guests will also receive three cocktails during the session – two of which will be crafted from their own recipe.
Paul Miller, co-founder of Eden Mill, said Blendworks is expected to attract 2500 visitors within the first six months.
“Blendworks offers a really personal experience whilst also paying homage to local traditions and produce – from the distilling techniques used to the botanicals that we painstakingly source,” he said.
“How people socialise is changing – we’re seeing groups come to the distillery to rediscover their local area and share their experiences on social media, for example.
“The fact that Blendworks is so interactive will encourage visitors to share content on their social channels, allowing their wider circles to become a part of the gin blending experience.”
