THE work of tattoo artist Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins has again inspired the latest limited edition bottle design for the Sailor Jerry spiced rum brand.
Highlighting two iconic Sailor Jerry designs and symbols – the rose and the eagle – from his days as a tattoo artist in World War II-era Hawaii, the matt black bottle is one in a series of limited editions and follows the release of a bottle bearing hula girl and anchor designs earlier this year.
Sailor Jerry parent company William Grant & Sons said the new bottle design is intended to “reinforce the brand’s premium spirit status, heavy tattoo influence, and to make a statement in bar space”.
