A NEW charcuterie and bar that claims to offer the best in meats, cheese, wine and beer from across Europe has opened in the west of Edinburgh.

Situated in Tollcross, Clark and Lake was founded by Andrew Thompson, who is said to have spent years researching, planning and sampling food from across the world in order to deliver a European approach to dining in the capital.

The food offer comprises sharing platters, including meats and cheeses from Spain, France, Italy, as well as others from across the UK.

Additionally, a choice of small meals are offered, which change on a monthly basis; the dishes are accompanied by an extensive wine and beer list.

Commenting on the opening, Thompson said: “Clark and Lake has been a labour of love over the last few years, planning everything from the decor to the wine list, so it’s great to see it finally open.”
