Two bartenders from Scottish bars are through to the grand final of a cocktail competition for single malt Talisker.
The final showdown in the Diageo-owned brand’s inaugural ‘Race to Skye’ competition will take place at the Talisker distillery on the Isle of Skye in August.
Dave Ali of The Finnieston in Glasgow and Andrew Lennie from The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen, Edinburgh, will both be fighting for the top prize, having won their respective regional semi-finals. Participants were challenged to create a cocktail that included a minimum 25ml serve of any Talisker expression and exemplified the whisky brand’s new ‘Made by the Sea’ platform.
The semi-final events were judged by Diageo Reserve’s David Sinclair, Ali Reynolds and Ervin Trykowski.
