Opportunities Cnoc in Inverness-shire

An Inverness-shire hotel set within scenic grounds has changed hands in a deal brokered by property firm ASG Commercial.

Located near Beauly, The Cnoc Hotel was purchased by Alistair and Carol Goldie for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of offers over £449,000. Alistair, a retired fireman, and Carol are first-time buyers with previous bar and catering experience.

Said to date from 1835, the property was originally four estate cottages, which were developed into a hotel in 1970.

Today, it comprises eight letting bedrooms (one of which is currently utilised as owner’s accommodation), a 20-capacity bar and a 50-cover dining room.

Jackie MacGregor of ASG Commercial said the hotel has been “run very successfully in the past” and is a “good starter business”.
