North Hop Aberdeen, now in its third year, will take place at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre across April 14 and 15, with highlights including local craft brewery Fierce Beer unveiling a new festival brew, Brewdog’s spirits division, LoneWolf, releasing a one-off gin, the release of a festival cider from Dunbar-based Thistly Cross, and the release of two brand new beers from Glasgow-based Out of Town brewing.

Also setting up shop during the festival is Keith-based Spey Valley Brewery, Edinburgh-based Brewgooder, and St Andrews Brewing Co.

Bars at the event will include 10 Dollar Shake (Aberdeen), Porter’s Gin (Aberdeen), Inshriach Gin (Aviemore), LoneWolf Spirits (Ellon), and Poco Prosecco (Edinburgh).

Music will be provided by a raft of local acts, with Aberdeen four-piece band, The Little Kicks, playing North Hop Aberdeen out on the closing Saturday night session.

Festival organiser Michelle Russell said North Hop Aberdeen is “always a runaway success”.

“People just can’t get enough of it and we have capacity for 1000 people,” said Russell.

“There’s an exciting food and drink scene in the north east of Scotland and beyond and it’s always fascinating to find out what various producers are bringing to North Hop.”
