BELHAVEN parent company Greene King has teamed up with Retail Impact Solutions (RIS) to offer its tenanted and leased pub operators a low cost option to build and maintain their own websites.
The launch of the service, which comprises a site visit, photography, full website construction and ongoing maintenance and management of the site for the first year, is said to be in response to the growing number of customers that search for pubs online before deciding where to visit. Greene King said it is part-funding the websites to make the service more accessible to all of its pubs.
Currently, seven Belhaven pubs in Scotland are using RIS, including The Crown Inn, in Biggar.
Greene King’s Clive Chesser said the company is keen for its pubs to “embrace the digital world”.
“Having it looked after professionally means they can be assured their website is being regularly updated and showcases what the pub offers to regular and potential customers,” said Chesser.
