Shifting Sands in the north

A HIGHLAND hotel is in line for refurbishment after being snapped up by new owners who have been customers for more than 30 years.

The Northern Sands Hotel in the Caithness village of Dunnet was snapped up by Blargoans Ltd for an undisclosed sum in a deal brokered by ASG Commercial.
The 12-bedroom hotel occupies a “prominent trading position” on the A836 Thurso to John O’Groats road overlooking the coastline and close to the Castle of Mey.
The new owners plan to refurbish the hotel and pair the fresh new look with the “highest level of customer service and excellent food”.
Paul Hart of ASG Commercial said: “We have seen a growth in sales throughout the Highlands.
“Sound businesses like the Northern Sands Hotel will continue to attract buyers from a wide spectrum of backgrounds.”
