Pub on song for major overhaul

• The refurb is underway.

GLASGOW music bar MacSorley’s is due to reopen later this month following a root and branch refurbishment.
The £250,000 revamp of the Jamaica Street site, which is being funded in partnership with pub company Punch Taverns, is said to be focused heavily on the pub’s history and feature bespoke artwork from local artists.
Lessee Mickey Mullan said he is “looking forward to building even further” on MacSorley’s reputation for live music.
