MOBILE technology was top of the agenda when the operators of a pop-up bar in Edinburgh were sourcing an EPOS system for the venue.
The team behind Comet & Blitzen, a festive pop-up which offered craft beers, cocktails, wine and tapas, turned to Intelligentpos – an iPad and cloud-based electronic point of sale system which covers a range of functions, including processing sales, managing tables and staff, monitoring stock levels and providing business analysis.
Jamie Reid, co-founder of Comet & Blitzen, said the EPOS system was able to “cope with the busy seasonal demand that Christmas brings”, was easy to use and “suited the functionality of a pop-up venue”.
“We needed a system that was mobile and relatively inexpensive, so Intelligentpos fitted the bill perfectly for us,” said Reid. “It was very easy to use and a lot of our customers even commented on how clever our iPad tills looked.”
Robin Knox, co-founder of Intelligentpos, said: “Mobility and functionality are two key features of Intelligentpos that we have been continually improving with every update. We understand the mind-set and operations of our customers and we’ve developed Intelligentpos with their interests at heart.”
