Brewdog has appointed a ‘brewmaster’ to oversee production at its new sour beer facility, Overworks.
Richard Kilcullen was formerly head of sour production at US brewery Wicked Weed.
Overworks will be based in a purpose-built facility at Brewdog’s Ellon headquarters in Aberdeenshire.
Construction of the new building, which will focus on the production of sour beers, farmhouse ales and mixed fermentations, began earlier this month.
Co-founder James Watt said the company “couldn’t be happier to have a talent like Richard heading it up”.
