CAMPARI, parent company of Glen Grant whisky, has teamed up with Edinburgh bar The Bon Vivant to create a new signature cocktail to promote the single malt ahead of Burns’ Night. The Chieftain is a haggis-infused cocktail inspired by the traditional Burns supper. It includes an oat-washed Glen Grant 10 year old combined with an offal stock syrup designed to replicate the meaty flavour of haggis. The cocktail is served with a pickled red onion, a salt and pepper air, turnip cordial and haggis rim. The cocktail was created by Will Cox of The Bon Vivant, who said the opportunity to work with Campari and Glen Grant was “too good to miss”. “It was very challenging, but we had a lot of fun coming up with The Chieftain and are looking forward to serving it to customers with a haggis bon bon or two on Burns nicht,” said Cox. The Chieftain will be available in The Bon Vivant for one night only, on January 25.
