A BAR and restaurant in the Borders town of Kelso has come on to the books of property firm The Restaurant Agency.
Having been owned and operated by the same couple for 14 years, Oscar’s is said to have been recently refurbished to offer a ground-floor trading area and an all-new basement kitchen.
Who will take the Oscar’s?
The business currently trades three nights a week to suit the current owner’s lifestyle, and is said to generate a healthy turnover.
Alan Goldie, director of The Restaurant Agency, who is marketing the property with a price tag of offers over £175,000 for the freehold, said there is immediate scope for a new owner to increase trading hours.
“This will appeal to a wide range of buyers given its positioning in the Borders and given it is freehold it would suit an investor too perhaps seeking a site and opportunity for rental income,” he said.
