Pudding the season in a whisky bottle

chiristmas-pudding-dramA TASTE of Christmas can be found in a tumbler this festive season as Scotch whisky firm The Lost Distillery Company has unveiled its limited edition ‘Christmas Pudding’ blended malt whisky.

The firm, which crafts whiskies from closed distilleries across Scotland, described the malt as having a flavour profile of “hints of orange zest and rich marzipan, spice and dried fruits”.
Part of The Lost Distillery Company’s Jericho range, the Christmas Pudding expression is said to be styled on the whiskies of the Nether Jericho distillery in Aberdeenshire, which closed its doors in 1913.
The Lost Distillery Company co-founder Scott Watson said the limited edition whisky “offers a splendid seasonal toast to the heritage of a forgotten liquid and a renowned distillery in Scotland”.
“A hearty, indulgent tipple, this special release is best savoured with friends and family on the most special day of the year,” said Watson.
