Lodge a bid for Highland hotel

Chance to snap up property in picturesque loch-side location

A HOTEL in what’s described as “one of the best locations in the Highlands” has come onto the market.
The Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel sits on the banks of Loch Lochy and offers views along the Great Glen.

Its location alongside the main A82 route between Fort William and Inverness – part of the ‘road to the isles’ – is said to generate a high volume of passing trade for the hotel throughout the year.
Recently “extensively renovated and refurbished” by Highland company Premier Developments Lochaber Limited, which has since gone into administration prompting the sale of the property, the hotel has 14 en suite letting bedrooms, a lounge conservatory, a whisky lounge, and the Ospreys Seafood Restaurant with sun deck, which takes full advantage of the hotel’s elevated position overlooking the loch.
Alistair Letham, a director in the UK hotels agency team at Colliers International, which is marketing the property, said that “the adage ‘location, location, location’ could have been coined for the Letterfinlay”.
“The hotel has been extensively renovated and refurbished and now provides that special touch of affordable luxury in this dramatic and popular location,” he said.
“Not only that, the business is well established and, despite the problems suffered by its most recent owners, it should present an attractive proposition to hoteliers looking for the perfect place to build a tourism business in the Highlands.”
The hotel has a price tag of offers around £650,000.
