A taste of the hospitality industry

HIGH school pupils in Renfrewshire got a taste of the hospitality industry this month thanks to Tennent’s Training Academy and training firm Tree of Knowledge.

The Taste the Industry event was hosted by both firms and saw classrooms at Linwood High School transformed into replica restaurants for the day. Pupils were able to attend masterclasses hosted by businesses that included bars group Kained Holdings, catering firm Sodexo, supplier Braehead Foods and pop-up restaurant operator Section 33.
The event will now tour other Scottish schools for the rest of the year.
Tennent’s Training Academy director Stephanie Wade said the organisation is “passionate about Scotland’s hospitality industry and furthering the careers of people within it”.
“By working in partnership with employers across Scotland, we can look to grow the industry and support its future success,” said Wade.
