Top honour for hotels group boss

The founder of Scottish hotel group Chardon Trading was celebrating this month after receiving a CBE from The Queen.

Maurice Taylor received the medal at a ceremony held at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. He was named in The Queen’s New Year Honours list in recognition of his services to business and charity.
Taylor said he was “thrilled to bits to receive such recognition in the autumn of what has been a very rewarding career within the hospitality sector”.
