THE G&V Royal Mile Hotel in Edinburgh has opened its new Tanqueray Ten Terrace, which it claims offers Edinburgh’s only outdoor afternoon tea.
The hotel said the al fresco tea, which is priced at £22.50, includes “weird and wonderful delights” such as Tanqueray Negroni jelly and candied orange; liquorice panna cotta and grapefruit compote; and Tanqueray Ten and cucumber gazpacho.
There is also a more traditional afternoon tea offer, including homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a variety of different sandwiches.
An array of cocktails is offered alongside the sweeter treats, and drinks such as G&Ts are served on the ‘secret terrace’, which is said to be hidden down a cobbled passage just off the Royal Mile.
The terrace will remain open until September 30 this year.
