The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews is set to host its first Scottish gin festival June 12.
Following on from World Gin Day June 11, the Road Hole Gin Festival, sponsored by St Andrews distillery Eden Mill, will take place in the hotel’s fourth floor Road Hole Bar and feature a range of Scottish gins, including those from Eden Mill as well as The Botanist, Gin Bothy, Caorunn, Rock Rose and Firkin.
Aberdeenshire-based Summerhouse Drinks – the firm behind Walter Gregor’s tonic – will also have a presence at the festival, which will feature gin masterclasses and cocktail demos.
The event will close with an exclusive Eden Mill Gin Dinner, where guests will hear from Eden Mill owner Paul Miller, whose idea for the distillery was born in the Road Hole Bar at the Old Course Hotel; each of the three courses, created by the resort’s award-winning team of chefs, will be paired with a different Eden Mill gin.
