Situated in the Argyllshire village of Arrochar, the Loch Long Hotel sits in an elevated position offering panoramic views across Loch Long towards the Cobbler and the Arrochar Alps.
The hotel, which is currently owned and run by coach tour operator Lochs & Glens Holidays, is located within Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and sits on the A83 – a busy tourist route – and so is said to benefit from passing trade.
Described as well-presented inside and out, the hotel comprises 82 en suite rooms, a bar, restaurant and function room. There is also a detached six-bedroom staff house and a three-bedroom manager’s house, which are for sale by seperate negotiation.
Graeme Smith of property firm Smith & Clough Associates, which is handling the sale jointly with Christie & Co, said the sale of Loch Long Hotel is the first time Lochs & Glens Holidays has sold one of its properties.
“Due to the potential future expansion of the company the Loch Long does not fit within the long term strategy and thus they have decided to sell,” he said.
“The hotel trades very well under the Lochs & Glens branding and although it will be sold without this it offers an exceptional opportunity for either an investor, national coaching operator or private hotelier.”
Offers in the region of £1.1 million are being sought for the freehold.
