Located in the Friuli region of north east Italy, Castello di Buttrio has been owned and run by Alessandra Felluga in conjunction with her father Marco Felluga since she acquired the site in 1994.
A range of indigenous and international grape varieties is grown at the 26-hectare site, including Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pignolo, Refosco and Verduzo.
Edwina Watson, buyer at Armit Wines, said: “It is a unique estate with a special place in the history of the region. The commitment of the Felluga family is unparalleled and I am very proud to bring these elegant, distinctive wines to the attention of our private and trade customers and to further build the reputation of Armit Wines’ comprehensive Italian portfolio.”
