Celebrating speciality producers

Some of Scotland’s top produce firms picked up prizes at this year’s Scotland’s Speciality Food Show in Glasgow.
Split over three categories, the Best Product Awards were judged by three Scottish food retailers and one chef with criteria including taste, appearance, and packaging.

The winners were The Little Herb Farm, which topped the Condiments & Preserves category with its Raspberry, Mint and Chilli Vinegar; Great Glen Charcuterie was awarded the top prize in the Chilled & Frozen Category for its Venison Salami; and the Drinks category award was picked up by Sloemotion for its Bramble Whisky Liqueur.
Awards judge Tom Lewis, owner of Monachyle Mhor restaurants and Mhor shops, said it is “so good to see existing products continually evolving to offer customers something new”.
