The firm behind Islay gin The Botanist has challenged bartenders from five venues across the UK to get experimenting as part of a new on-trade initiative for the brand.
Five venues with a record in producing experimental cocktails will be provided with a Botanist Infuser for 31 days for the purpose of creating syrups and infused liquids to use in the creation of a new Botanist cocktail.
Bartenders are being encouraged to use foraged ingredients when developing their drinks.
The final five cocktails will be judged in early December by a panel of experts comprising a forager, chef, mixologist and The Botanist’s brand ambassador Abigail Clephane.
Clephane said she is “really excited about engaging with bartenders who share our passion for discovery and exploration”.
