Collaboration yields citric syrup

THE firm behind bar syrup brand Funkin Pro has joined forces with London-based multiple operator Be At One for the launch of Funkin Pro Citric Syrup.

Launched this month, the latest addition to Funkin’s professional syrup range has been designed as an ingredient which “pairs perfectly with flavoured vodka to create a range of sherbet cocktails” – a popular cocktail serve on offer in Be At One bars.
The launch of Funkin Pro Citric Syrup brings Funkin’s single batch syrup range to a total of five. Other variants in the range are rhubarb, ginger, earl grey and spiced.
Andrew King, managing director at Funkin, said the team behind the brand is “excited to see how the newest syrup in the range can be used in a variety of cocktails in addition to an array of classic sherbet drinks”.

Sarah Swaysland, marketing manager for Be At One, said the firm’s sherbet cocktail is “a leading seller” in its bars.
“The challenge we faced was creating a consistent quality product that could be used across our locations so we turned to Funkin to help us create one,” she said.
