Celebrating Bloomsbury

THE heritage of Tanqueray gin is being touted as the inspiration behind the brand’s latest limited edition variant, Tanqueray Bloomsbury Gin

The name for the new limited edition release pays homage to the gin’s former distillery, which was located in the Bloomsbury area of London.
The limited edition gin was created by the now retired Tanqueray master distiller Tom Nichol, who is said to have been inspired by a gin recipe created by Charles Waugh Tanqueray in 1880.
Tasting notes for the 47.3% ABV Tanqueray Bloomsbury Gin describe the liquid as having a “strong juniper flavour with clear notes of cassia bark”.
Tom Nichol said he wanted to “make something that was completely different from our other limited editions and with this gin I do feel we have achieved that”.
“It is very inspirational to work with an original Tanqueray family recipe, and for it to taste this good,” said Nichol.
