C&C Group, the firm behind Magners, has extended the Irish cider’s range with the introduction of two new product lines, Magners Alcohol Free and Forbidden Flavours.
Magners Alcohol Free is said to contain zero alcohol while retaining the flavour of Magners Original and has been developed as a response to what C&C Group described as “increased demand for alcohol-free alternatives”.
C&C Group also said the alcohol-free cider has a lower calorie count, at 18 calories per 330ml bottle.
Coinciding with the launch of the alcohol-free variant is the introduction of the Magners ‘Forbidden Flavour’ ciders.
Two flavours have been created for the new range: the 4% ABV Magners Strawberry and Lime and the 4.5% ABV Magners Cloudy Lemon. Both flavoured variants are packaged in 500ml bottles.
Anna Drummond, cider brand manager at C&C Group, said the new products “show that Magners continues to respond to changing consumer demand, ensuring we are producing the best possible ciders that our consumers love to enjoy”.
“We are particularly excited about the addition of the unusual flavour of Cloudy Lemon to the range and we are excited to see what our customers and drinkers think,” said Drummond.
The launch of Magners Alcohol Free and the Forbidden Flavours range follows a summer of promotional activity for the brand which saw the return of the Magners Summer Nights festivals.
The music events took place at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Bandstand and the Ross Bandstand in Edinburgh.
