A traditional Dumfries pub has reopened after undergoing a significant refurbishment.
The Ship Inn, run by Lee Dawes, had a makeover last month which, it’s claimed, has given the 80 year old pub “a new lease of life”.
The outlet, which is part of Hawthorn Leisure’s portfolio, has been positioned as a community venue for “enjoying quality beer and cask ale with friends and family”.
“We’ve given the Ship Inn its spark back,” said Dawes.
“When I first saw that it was available to lease, my mind went wild with ideas of how I could bring it back to its glory days.”
