THE firm behind The Bitter Truth bitters and liqueurs brand has bolstered its savoury bitters range with a new cucumber variant.
Following on from the launch of The Bitter Truth Celery Bitters, former bartenders Stephen Berg and Alexander Hauck have launched The Bitter Truth Cucumber Bitters.
The pair said creating a bitters based on cucumber was a “challenge” due to its delicate flavour and that it mainly consists of water; they mashed fresh cucumbers and then distilled the mash to form a base, which was blended with herbs and spices.
