The restaurant operator, which has outlets in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, has rolled out a company-wide online training ‘console’ to all of its 6000 employees via desktop computers and mobile devices.

Custom-made by CPL Online, the console manages the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of e-learning courses and training programmes. It also hosts a company-centric induction course and brand-specific inductions for new employees in a series of “bite-sized” training sessions.

Catherine McGuckin, HR director at Casual Dining Group, said: “The induction process and experience has been transformed with the new system and content and it has given us the platform to deliver the enhanced training plans we have structured for all our employees as they travel along their CDG career path.”
