GIN is being positioned as the spirit of the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe this year, as drinks firms plan a range of events to promote their products to the thousands of tourists and locals who will descend on the capital in August.
Edinburgh venue and drinks firm Summerhalll Distillery is to act as a Fringe venue for the first time this year, and the company will have its Pickering’s Gin 1950s American Airstream Cocktail Bar stationed in the distillery courtyard throughout the Fringe.
Pickering’s has also partnered with Italian restaurant group Contini and will be the house pour in all three of the company’s Edinburgh restaurants as well as pitching up on the mound in the co-branded pop-up Bothy Bar.
Hendrick’s Gin will also be appearing in Edinburgh this August with the Hendrick’s Emporium of Sensorial Submersion.
A gin-themed bar housed within Edinburgh venue 91 George Street, the Hendrick’s emporium will comprise a range of gin-themed installations designed to stimulate the senses.
