A North Ayrshire pub has changed hands after 12 years under the same ownership.
The Station Inn in Beith, described as a traditional freehold business, has been purchased by a couple who plan to launch a catering business.
The traditional stone building comprises a large bar, lounge and a separate pool table area; there’s also a restaurant, commercial kitchen and office.
The Station Inn, which sold for £150,000, also includes six letting rooms and a guests’ lounge; there’s also three-bedroom owner’s accommodation on the top floor.
The business was acquired by first time buyers, the McCormacks, who plan to establish catering business The Urban Food Theatre in the premises.
Julie-Anne Mcconville, sales negotiator at selling agent Bruce & Co, said: “I am really delighted the former owners have been able to retire and enjoy what they love most.”
