New distribution deal for Langley’s No.8 gin
SMALL batch gin Langley’s No.8 is now available to both the on and off-trades through a new distribution agreement with drinks marketing firm Hi-Spirits.
The 41.7% ABV spirit, which is produced at the Langley Distillery in the Midlands, joined Hi-Spirits’ distribution portfolio on May 1.
The small batch gin, which was launched just over two years ago, is said to be balanced from an infusion of eight botanicals to create a “smooth, lingering and robust flavour profile”.
The gin, which was previously available from Harvey Nichols and a number of specialist retailers, has picked up a range of accolades including a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2014 and two star gold at the 2013 Great Taste Awards.
Dan Bolton, managing director of Hi-Spirits, said the firm is “delighted to add Langley’s No.8 Gin to our growing portfolio of partner brands”.
“The gin renaissance amongst UK consumers shows no sign of abating and Langley’s No.8 further strengthens our gin range,” he said.
“As a classic English craft gin, it appeals to discerning consumers who enjoy great cocktails and mixed spirit drinks when they’re out in bars and restaurants, or at home.
“The fact that Langley’s No.8 already has such an impressive range of aspirational stockists gives us a very strong base from which to develop the brand further.”
